Major features and improvements

Version 4.0.0

Latest

New Features

Your device schedules now survive a price outage — when the electricity exchange fails to publish, we calculate the missing hours from our own historical price data so heaters, boilers and chargers keep switching at sensible times instead of silently staying off. These prices are clearly marked on the chart and in the table, and are never used to calculate your savings.

A second source for day-ahead prices. ENTSO-E publishes the same prices through two systems, and on 31 August one of them went down for two days while the other kept working. Elewatt now automatically falls back to the second source, so a repeat of that outage no longer leaves the site without prices.

You get told what is happening. If your scheduled devices are running on calculated prices, you receive one email explaining it — and a second one as soon as real prices are back and schedules are exact again.

A clear notice on the price page and on every device page whenever a day is incomplete, instead of a chart that quietly showed only a few hours.

Bug Fixes

A half-published price document is no longer stored as if it were a complete day, and can no longer overwrite a day we already had in full.

Fixed direct-IP Shelly devices receiving no schedule at all during a price outage, and stopped the failure message blaming your network connection when the device had never been contacted.

Version 3.13.0

New Features

Savings are now calculated only from real measured energy. If a device does not report its own consumption we say so plainly instead of showing an estimate — testing against three months of real meter data showed estimates could be off by 63%, and differ 3× between two identical heaters.

Daikin heat pumps now report real measured savings, read from the unit's own energy meter.

Savings count only devices with automation switched on, and only the schedule slots that actually ran — so the figure reflects what Elewatt genuinely did for you.

One-time 'action required' emails when an integration needs reconnecting, with a direct link to fix it, so a dead connection no longer goes unnoticed for weeks.

Bug Fixes

Cookie consent is now a non-blocking corner banner instead of a full-screen dialog.

The nominal-power field is no longer missing from the Shelly device form, and Shelly rate-limit errors are reported honestly rather than as generic failures.

Version 3.12.0

Minor

2026-07-16

New Features

Subscription plans are live — Free, Home and Company — with self-service cancellation, refund-based downgrades, and clear per-plan device and contract limits.

Device savings across all seven integrations, with a monthly and yearly view, dual baselines and a tooltip explaining exactly how each figure is calculated.

Daikin reconnects gracefully when its authorisation expires: the connection is auto-disabled, you get a reconnect link, and your devices and settings are left untouched.

Early accounts keep everything free for life — existing users from before plans launched are unaffected by any limit.

Bug Fixes

Disconnecting an integration no longer deletes your devices and their history — it now only clears the stored credentials.

Duration filters on Daikin and Home Assistant now behave identically to Shelly, all using the same schedule calculator.

Version 3.11.0

Minor

2026-07-09

New Features

New 'What Is a Smart Grid' education article with its own savings calculator, plus a balcony solar and battery backup guide, and search and filtering on the education hub.

A savings estimator on the pricing page that uses real spot prices and grid fees for your country, so plan value is shown in your own currency rather than as a generic claim.

The installer directory is live, connecting you with installers for the hardware Elewatt controls.

Bug Fixes

Database connection hardening for sleep/wake cycles — the intermittent errors on logged-in pages after an idle period are fixed.

Version 3.10.0

Major

2026-06-12

New Features

Twelve new countries: Italy, Belgium, Austria, Czechia, Portugal, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Greece, Bulgaria, Croatia and Switzerland — bringing Elewatt to 25 European markets and completing our coverage of the day-ahead market.

Six new interface languages — Slovak, Hungarian, Slovenian, Greek, Bulgarian and Croatian — including our first non-Latin alphabets, plus full translation passes for Croatian, Slovenian, Czech and Hungarian.

Samsung SmartThings air conditioners join the supported integrations.

The battery calculator gained a commercial MWh mode, XLSX export, and a rebuilt charge/discharge planner that no longer proposes loss-making cycles.

Bug Fixes

Past-date prices are no longer cached incorrectly, and the daily price posts now match the dashboard for every market.
