Release Notes
Major features and improvements
Version 4.5.0
Minor2026-10-19
New Features
Share what Elewatt saved you: a monthly savings card you can post publicly, with a personal note β from the dashboard or the Savings page.
Every device now keeps a per-day history: open a past day to see the schedule it ran and what it saved. Past days are stored as they happened and never recalculated.
Weekly rules: on the days you tick, a heat pump or water heater uses different settings β a cooler home at the weekend, or the tank at 60 Β°C on Sunday for disinfection.
If a price limit sits below every price today or tomorrow, the device and its filter now show a βNo hoursβ badge, and you can ask for an email the evening before.
The device card has a schedule on/off switch, the edit dialog shows the device model, and the device count on Connections opens Devices filtered to that connection.
Price-limit filters now show their on and off periods as bars on the price chart.
Plan slots now count only devices on automation β meters and devices you switch by hand no longer use one. Devices on a connected cloud account are imported automatically.
Shelly: every relay of a multi-channel Shelly is now its own device, and Shelly cloud meters get consumption history. Shelly now connects through the cloud only.
Filter suggestions now come at most once a month per device and look at the last four weeks, so they rest on more than a few days of data.
Estonia: a guided wizard connects your Elering metering data. Also new: Google One Tap sign-in, and the battery calculator recommends the size with the fastest payback.
Bug Fixes
Connected accounts no longer drop out when two token refreshes overlap (Daikin, Shelly, Samsung, Nibe), and a disconnected cloud no longer shows as Connected.
Daikin: a temperature you set yourself is kept until the next cheap/expensive switch, only modes and setpoints your unit supports are offered, and a fault code is shown instead of a vague read-only notice.
Multi-channel Shelly devices now switch the right relay instead of always the first one.
More reliable prices: Elering is the primary source for Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland, Energinet for Denmark, SE3, SE4 and NO2, and placeholder days from ENTSO-E are rejected.
A contract price above β¬1 per kWh is now flagged as a likely cents-for-euros slip.
The Savings page is translated into every language, and your time zone now follows your price area.
Version 4.4.0
Major2026-10-10
New Features
All your devices now live on one Devices page. The separate Shelly, Daikin, Samsung, Home Assistant and Tuya pages are gone β pick a device from the list to open its detail view, and the pencil opens a single edit dialog for everything. Old links redirect automatically.
Adding a device is now a guided wizard: choose the integration, pick the device, give it a name and attach a price filter β all in one flow.
Contracts moved into a switcher in the header, next to the logo. The dashboard, devices and savings all follow the selected contract, the per-page contract pickers are gone, and a guided four-step wizard sets up a new contract. You can also move a device from one contract to another.
You can now share a contract with family or colleagues β view-only or with edit rights. They see the same dashboard, devices and savings in their own sidebar, with live device state.
Elewatt now checks every night for settings that quietly never switch anything β a price limit above every price, or a device with no filter at all. A suggestion card on the dashboard lets you apply or dismiss the fix, and you can opt in to a weekly email digest.
Need help? Message us straight from the app β the conversation lives in your account, and replies appear right there.
The navigation got a redesign: a cleaner sidebar, with your plan and Support now in the profile menu at the bottom. On the phone, the app switches to bottom tabs.
The dashboard now shows the next price change as its own card and a 15-minute price strip with tooltips β and the spot summary follows the VAT toggle.
Daikin heat pumps can pair with a Shelly power meter, so consumption and savings come from real measurements instead of estimates.
The Integrations page is now called Connections β the same place, a clearer name: one row per connected account and price feed.
Bug Fixes
Heat pumps and air conditioners now always switch in whole hours, even with a price filter β no more 15-minute cycling that compressors don't like.
Confirmation and password-reset emails now arrive in your own language.
The daily schedule email waits until tomorrow's prices are fully published, so it never shows a half-empty day.
Accounts with several Shelly homes now get one connection per home, so devices from every home show up.
A Daikin unit now takes exactly one plan slot, no matter how many tanks and zones it has.
Version 4.3.0
Minor2026-10-04
New Features
Home Assistant setup is now a step-by-step wizard with real screenshots of every stage β installing the add-on, creating the access token and connecting β both in the setup guide and inside the app.
When your hosted Home Assistant tunnel comes online, the connection switches to your Elewatt address by itself β no more copying the address across by hand.
Integration credentials β the tokens and keys for your connected device accounts β are now encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM.
A security hardening pass across the whole app: stronger protection against automated sign-in attempts and stricter browser security policies on every page.
Bug Fixes
Hosted Home Assistant tunnels no longer fail with a connection error when Home Assistant listens on a port other than the default β the port can now be set during setup.
The Elewatt address in the Home Assistant connection panel is now shown as read-only text, so it can no longer be changed by accident.
Version 4.2.0
Minor2026-09-20
New Features
Contract filter on the Filters page and every device page. If you run more than one property, pick a contract and see only its filters and devices β the choice follows you between pages.
Edit a filter without leaving the device page. Open it from the device you are setting up and the price chart and schedule redraw the moment you save, so you can see exactly what the new threshold does.
Duplicate a filter. Copy an existing rule and point the copy at another contract instead of rebuilding it by hand.
A warning when a price threshold is above every price of the day. The device would simply run around the clock with nothing ever scheduled, which used to look like broken automation.
Tidier lists. Filter, device and contract cards now carry a single edit button (plus duplicate on filters), and deleting moved inside the edit form β away from the row you click to select.
A Shelly Cloud or Daikin Onecta account now connects to one Elewatt account at a time. Existing connections are untouched; you only meet this when connecting the same account again somewhere else.
Bug Fixes
Prices could appear in the wrong currency. An account with Euro saved in its settings could still show every price in kronor, and changing the setting again did nothing. Your account setting now decides, everywhere.
Price thresholds are shown and entered in the same currency as your prices. A threshold could previously appear as a euro figure labelled in another currency, which made it impossible to set sensibly.
Two-tariff network fees now appear in the price chart and the schedule preview. Contracts with separate day and night grid fees β Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Spain, and Estonian manual grid contracts β were drawn as if the grid cost nothing. Device switching was always correct; only the display was wrong.
The left menu updates as soon as you switch an integration on or off, instead of only after reloading the page.
Version 4.1.0
Minor2026-09-13
New Features
A new Savings page. Filter by device and month, see savings per day on a chart against last month, and open any day to see each scheduled run priced three ways: what you paid, what it would have cost at the day's average price, and what it would have cost during the day's most expensive hours β how an unscheduled device typically runs. Only runs with a real meter reading are counted.
Honest net savings for paying customers: on the all-devices monthly total, your Elewatt subscription fee is shown as a visible deduction next to the gross figure, so you can see what scheduling earns you after the plan.
New article: How to Cut Your Winter Electricity Bill in 2026/27 β a complete checklist for moving heating, hot water and charging into the cheap hours, with last winter's real price spread for every zone we cover.
New article: Your Water Heater Is the Cheapest Home Battery You Can Buy β a hot-water tank shifts cheap-hour electricity like a battery at a fraction of the cost, with a water heater calculator for your own household.
Bug Fixes
Daikin Altherma heat pumps in leaving-water control: setpoints are now snapped onto the unit's own whole-degree offset grid (β10β¦+10), so the 'Control failed' errors from half-degree steps are gone. Devices set to 'No filter (use day average)' are now actually scheduled by the day-average rule, and the schedule form understands offset targets instead of room temperatures.
Daikin panels now show the real power state. Onecta keeps the last heating/cooling mode while a unit is switched off, which made powered-off devices look on.
Version 4.0.0
Major2026-09-01
New Features
Your device schedules now survive a price outage β when the electricity exchange fails to publish, we calculate the missing hours from our own historical price data so heaters, boilers and chargers keep switching at sensible times instead of silently staying off. These prices are clearly marked on the chart and in the table, and are never used to calculate your savings.
A second source for day-ahead prices. ENTSO-E publishes the same prices through two systems, and on 31 August one of them went down for two days while the other kept working. Elewatt now automatically falls back to the second source, so a repeat of that outage no longer leaves the site without prices.
You get told what is happening. If your scheduled devices are running on calculated prices, you receive one email explaining it β and a second one as soon as real prices are back and schedules are exact again.
A clear notice on the price page and on every device page whenever a day is incomplete, instead of a chart that quietly showed only a few hours.
Bug Fixes
A half-published price document is no longer stored as if it were a complete day, and can no longer overwrite a day we already had in full.
Fixed direct-IP Shelly devices receiving no schedule at all during a price outage, and stopped the failure message blaming your network connection when the device had never been contacted.
Version 3.13.0
Minor2026-08-31
New Features
Savings are now calculated only from real measured energy. If a device does not report its own consumption we say so plainly instead of showing an estimate β testing against three months of real meter data showed estimates could be off by 63%, and differ 3Γ between two identical heaters.
Daikin heat pumps now report real measured savings, read from the unit's own energy meter.
Savings count only devices with automation switched on, and only the schedule slots that actually ran β so the figure reflects what Elewatt genuinely did for you.
One-time 'action required' emails when an integration needs reconnecting, with a direct link to fix it, so a dead connection no longer goes unnoticed for weeks.
Bug Fixes
Cookie consent is now a non-blocking corner banner instead of a full-screen dialog.
The nominal-power field is no longer missing from the Shelly device form, and Shelly rate-limit errors are reported honestly rather than as generic failures.
Version 3.12.0
Minor2026-07-16
New Features
Subscription plans are live β Free, Home and Company β with self-service cancellation, refund-based downgrades, and clear per-plan device and contract limits.
Device savings across all seven integrations, with a monthly and yearly view, dual baselines and a tooltip explaining exactly how each figure is calculated.
Daikin reconnects gracefully when its authorisation expires: the connection is auto-disabled, you get a reconnect link, and your devices and settings are left untouched.
Early accounts keep everything free for life β existing users from before plans launched are unaffected by any limit.
Bug Fixes
Disconnecting an integration no longer deletes your devices and their history β it now only clears the stored credentials.
Duration filters on Daikin and Home Assistant now behave identically to Shelly, all using the same schedule calculator.
Version 3.11.0
Minor2026-07-09
New Features
New 'What Is a Smart Grid' education article with its own savings calculator, plus a balcony solar and battery backup guide, and search and filtering on the education hub.
A savings estimator on the pricing page that uses real spot prices and grid fees for your country, so plan value is shown in your own currency rather than as a generic claim.
The installer directory is live, connecting you with installers for the hardware Elewatt controls.
Bug Fixes
Database connection hardening for sleep/wake cycles β the intermittent errors on logged-in pages after an idle period are fixed.
Version 3.10.0
Major2026-06-12
